Concordia University recently converted their Gym area to CVMORE LED from conventional lighting. Their existing fixtures, consisting mostly of fluorescent high bays, were not delivering the desired results. The purpose of the retrofit was to increase the illuminance in levels that are accepted by NCAA while keeping the same places for the future fixtures to minimize the total installation cost.

The illuminance, the uniformity and the glare were the main challenges of the retrofit that took place into their premises. Neon Energy’s staff have converted all the fluorescent high bays to LED Linear High Bays 300W and the overall result was tremendous. The lighting levels have increased from 25fc to 90fc with 0.8 uniformity and this came out of 18 high bays only. The use of special antiglare optics offers a comfortable environment for training and match days.

The overall lighting levels were increased by 360% by using only 50% more energy compared to the old installation. The product used is the Linear High Bay 300W that utilizes a 130lm/W LED engine and extruded aluminum heatsink for great heat dissipation. Therefore, we can guarantee low lumen degradation and assure reliability for the years to come thus minimizing the future maintenance costs.
